The Music Man at LPAC

The Music Man

Sunday, March 13, 2011
7:00 PM

Follow fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa in 1912 into buying musical instruments and uniforms for a boy’s band he vows to organize, despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the town librarian, with chaos ensuing as the townsfolk get wind of his scheme. Filled with classic musical fun, tender romance, barbershop quartets and favorites including, “(Ya Got) Trouble,” “Seventy-six Trombones,” “Goodnight, My Someone,” “Gary, Indiana” and “Till There Was You,” The Music Man is the perfect All-American Musical.

Blvd Today Good Thing for Downtown Businesses to Join!

Blvdtoday…It’s time to come back

On the Blvdtoday…

The mission of the BLVD Association is to promote, coordinate and influence the continuing vitality of Downtown Lancaster as a safe and friendly center for business, community and cultural life in the Antelope Valley.

Jim Greenleaf

It was a wonderful meeting… Now MDM how do we get everybody on the BLVD on board here? How can I help?

Myrle McLemon

The best thing we can do is make it obvious that being a part of this is a good thing and it will be profitable. Lets lead by example and keep the doors open for all 175+ of our businesses.

We need promotional materials from each business, either brochures, flyers, banners, advertised specials, etc. to bring to every event we host.
USO show is first, the Streets of Lancaster race is next, holiday event right behind those.

There is an opportunity for each business to spend a few hrs at the BLVD Association info booth at the Streets event. Volunteers would give info on the BLVD and sell race trinkets. Contact me for more info.

As soon as we answer the question” What’s on the BLVD for me” we will be in the right frame of mind!
