Are you ready AV businesses? Spring is rounding the corner and the Poppy Festival is the main Spring event that the AV has to look forward to. Until now. The BLVD has been redeveloped and several successful events have since occurred. However, BLVD Association businesses not located directly on the BLVD haven’t had the same opportunity for traffic and awareness as those that are. So, we created an event to serve all the aforementioned purposes and one other, FUN! The Off The BLVD Mardi Gras Block Party will be held on March 26, 20011 and will be a symbol of AV business promotion, family fun and Spring profits. The Block Party will be loaded with activities for people of all ages boasting an entire “kid’s corner”, a beer and wine garden, jazz bands and many other performances to keep traffic flowing. There will also be a well rounded food court, Zydeco bands, authentic Mardi Gras desserts and a ton of other activities that you’ll have to show up to enjoy!
While this event will earn profits, all proceeds go to benefit the BLVD Association promotional budget. This way not only will attendance be beneficial to local businesses, as all vendor earnings are kept by the vendor, all BLVD Association businesses will have use of necessary advertising dollars. Win, win, win. It takes a lot of work and collaboration to pull something like this off and we’re asking all local businesses, especially BLVD businesses to help out where they can. Since Lancaster BLVD will not be closed during the five hour extravaganza, businesses that chose not to have a booth can still partake in the increased traffic and the potential profits such a crowd can offer.
